The Snug

A fully private, traditional pub spot steeped in the history of previous past celebrations of our wonderful community. Situated towards the front of our pub and fully equipped with its own private bar, flat screen TV and full table service. Perfect for meetings, networking events, celebrations and events.

The Milestone

A cosy, wood-paneled space to the right side of the entrance – ideal for relaxed get-togethers, whether it’s a birthday bash, celebration of life or private viewing for a sporting fixture, this space can do it all.

Garden Huts

Our charming garden huts provide the perfect backdrop for your Summer gatherings. Whether you’re enjoying a leisurely, just-one-more-bite worthy lunch with loved ones amidst sipping one of our delicious Spritz on a sunny evening, or celebrating your next milestone surrounded by your nearest and dearest, our inviting Garden Huts create a cosy atmosphere for all your special moments.

Whether it be for the buzzing atmosphere the locals of East sheen, Richmond and Barnes bring, our garden kitchen which serves us the freshest, seasonal and British dishes, our outdoor bar which ensures you stay hydrated (and merry) on those warm summer days, and let’s not forget about all of the incredible events Lisa throws in the garden.

The nitty-gritty details

How many people can I book for?

We can host a fun-filled, cosy meal for up to 20 guests in our charming Snug and up to 50 if you are after something a bit more casual. Fancy hosting your party in the heart of our pub? We can host up to 50 of your favourite faces in our spacious Milestone spot. Beyond that, things might get a bit elbow-to-elbow (and we want everyone to have plenty of wiggle room). We’re family-friendly until 7pm.

Can I book for drinks and nibbles?

Absolutely! We love hosting lively, casual-drinks-and-nibbles parties – in fact, it’s our speciality! Coupled with our stunning spaces inside and out (perfect for family photos), our drinks-and-nibbles gatherings are what party dreams are made of.

Do you require a deposit to secure my booking?

You bet! For all our private or semi private bookings, we just need a fully refundable £100 deposit to lock in your reservation – consider it a high-five to secure your spot. (No room hire here either just fyi).

Do you require a minimum spend for Private Hire?

Even on our busiest days of the week, we don’t worry about minimum spends because we just love having our neighbours over! It’s all about keeping the good vibes rolling (and the fun non-stop) at our family-friendly hangouts.

Are you doggy friendly?

We’re absolutely doggy-friendly! (Must be on a lead pretty please). Because what’s a party without our lovable, tail-wagging, four-legged friends (who steal all the snacks)? Let’s paw-ty together.

Do you have parking?

We don’t have parking, but don’t worry – our super-convenient, just-around-the-corner pub is only a hop, skip, and jump from Mortlake Station (making us a breeze to find). If you are driving, opposite our pub on Richmond Park Road offers pay free street parking all day.

Are children allowed to attend my party?

We love having the little ones join the fun, but after 7pm, it’s time for the grown-ups to take over as per our licence restrictions.

We booked the Snug bar area for a gathering after a family funeral. Staff were extremely helpful throughout the booking process. The venue itself was lovely; warm, candlelit and cosy. Staff were really friendly and respectful of the event. Self-serve tea & coffee station was a great idea. Sandwiches were delicious and great value and we enjoyed a wide selection of drinks. Could not have wished for a better venue. Thank you "Hare& Hounds"!

We had the absolute pleasure of having our wedding reception here in their private room off to the side. I have always loved the hare, but even more now. They accommodated us with everything we needed, allowed my family to enter before we arrived and set up everything they needed. Service was amazing, staff lovely, atmosphere amazing. They went above and beyond for us and I think that goes to show it's an amazing venue. we had two sandwich boards, salad boards and their party buffet and the food was delicious. I loved the chicken and bacon the best. A special shout out to Will, Amber, Rosie, phoebe and Eleanor for being amazing and doing the best they could to ensure our day was the best. Thank you to the hare and hounds and their wonderful team for making a wonderful day, even greater than it already was.

AMAZING PUB & GARDEN!!! I had my 30th birthday gathering at the Hare & Hounds pub garden this weekend just gone. I can't fault the service myself and all my family and friends received. The food was absolutely incredible and the staff were brilliant! Special mention to Rosie who was manning the outside bar all day for us and also the chefs on shift that day. Everyone who was at the party is still talking about the food now! Tim and Lisa are so accommodating and I would book here again for any celebration in the future! Thanks again guys! Loved it :)
